Two Mets minor leaguers suspended for breaking baseball's drug program

Mets catcher Charles "Pier" Doyle and pitcher Scott Moviel happen to be suspended games each under baseball's minor league drug program.

Both were punished Monday for second violations including a drug of abuse.

Doyle, 25, hit .296 with two homers and 11 RBI this past year for that Class A St. Lucie Mets. He would be a fifth-round draft select from Seaside Carolina in 2008 along with a New You are able to-Penn League All-Star the year after.

Moviel, a 6-feet-11 right-hander, was 5-10 having a 5-10 ERA in 23 begins and three relief looks this past year at St. Lucie. The 23-year-old, now around the roster of Double-A Binghamton, would be a second-round selection in 2007 from St. Edward Full of Cleveland.

The Mets rejected comment, spokesperson Jay Horwitz stated.
